From My Cards:Tap “Select your card(s)” if you have no cards, or “Select more card(s)” to add another.Choose a card to open “Review and Add.” Review its listed benefits.Optionally enter the last four digits to distinguish this card from another of the same type. Enter all four digits or leave the field blank.Tap the + in the upper right to add the card.RECAP adds the benefits listed for that card. Adding a card does not enroll you in issuer benefits or verify purchases.
From My Cards:Tap “Log Benefits” on the relevant card.Expand the benefit to review its details, eligibility, and fine print. For a dollar credit, tap “Log Usage,” check the benefit period, enter the amount actually redeemed, and confirm using the button at the bottom of the form. Partial amounts are supported.Other benefit types have their own actions: “Mark as Used” for eligible perks, “Log Points” for points, “Add Visit” for lounge visits, and “Log a claim” for a cell-phone reimbursement. Follow the fields shown for that benefit. Enrollment-only perks do not require usage logging.Log each qualifying stay or insurance reimbursement separately. For Uber Cash and ride-based Lyft credits, log the amount actually spent or redeemed—not merely deposited or earned.Saved dollar-value logs update the remaining balance, Benefits Used, and Net Value. Points and non-dollar perks do not add cash value.
Open “Used” from the bottom navigation and select the relevant card.Under “History,” choose the year containing the log, find the entry, and tap “Edit.”For a grouped credit period, enter the corrected total for that period—not an additional amount—and tap “Save total.” For an individual entry, update the available amount, date, visit, or points fields and tap “Save Changes.”To delete instead, use “Remove total” or “Remove This Usage” and confirm. Removing a period total removes the usage records grouped into that total. Included membership entries may have different controls from ordinary usage logs.
Open “Used” and select the card.Set History to the current year, then tap “Log a missed credit.”Choose a credit, select the earlier benefit period, enter the amount you missed logging, and confirm. This list includes monthly, quarterly, and semiannual credits with an earlier completed period this year that is not fully logged. Fully logged past periods do not make a credit eligible.Annual credits are not listed because this year is still their current benefit period. Log those—and credits for the current month, quarter, or half-year—through “Log Benefits” on My Cards. This catch-up flow does not add logs for previous calendar years; existing older logs remain editable in History.
The Calendar focuses on credits that still have value available. Fully used credits and non-dollar perks are hidden; partial use leaves the remaining balance.Quarterly, semiannual, annual, and anniversary credits appear only in the current month, when eligible. They are not repeated in past or future months. Monthly credits keep their separate month views. The month’s “$… left” total appears only for the current month; future months are not a forecast of your remaining value.Red highlighting follows the benefit’s actual countdown: 7 days for monthly credits, 30 for quarterly, 45 for semiannual, and 60 for annual. Urgent credits come first, followed by alphabetical card and credit names. Per-stay credits without a countdown do not turn red or add their per-stay maximum to the monthly total.Calendar opens at the current month. Use the month buttons to jump elsewhere. Tap a credit to log an eligible period or open its card details. Use “Used” for logged history and Net Value.
Auto-Log records allows you to automatically log a monthly credit, typically that you have setup as auto-pay, so you don't have to. For example, you pay your wireless bill every month automatially with your American Express card. Rather than log the credit every month in RECAP, turn on auto-log for wireless credit and RECAP will log the usage so you don't have to. Open Settings, then tap “Auto-Log,” and toggle to "Enable notifications.” Each card has its own eligible benefit controls. Auto-Log is also available in the expanded details of supported benefits.
Follow the prompts to choose the starting month this year when you started recieveing the credit. This allows you to "catchup on logging previous credits this year.".
Auto-Log records amounts based on your setup; it does not verify a purchase, subscription charge, or posted statement credit. Review the entries in Used and correct them if needed. Turning Auto-Log off keeps existing history.Uber Cash and ride-based Lyft credits must be logged manually when redeemed. If Used shows an older automatic receipt for review, confirm the actual redemption before it counts toward used value.
In Settings, find “Enable notifications” between “Account details” and “Auto-Log.” Turn it on and allow notifications when your device asks.If permission is blocked, allow notifications for RECAP in your device settings, then try again. When notifications are enabled and you have cards, “Reschedule all notifications” rebuilds the reminders.Expiry alerts are available in the mobile app, not the browser. Turning notifications off cancels scheduled reminders. Notifications do not log usage, redeem credits, or enroll you in benefits.
Benefits Used is the dollar value counted for the selected card in the current calendar year. It includes recorded credits and, where applicable, configured lounge estimates, redeemed pass values, and included membership value. Points and other non-dollar perks do not count as cash value; benefits you have skipped are excluded.
RECAP does not connect to your bank or card-issuer accounts and does not import transactions or verify posted credits. We do not ask for bank credentials or full credit card numbers. Your RECAP sign-in is separate from your financial accounts. That way, you stay in 100% control. Your data stays yours, giving you 100% data privacy and flawless benefit tracking. Sync issues with your credit card issuer with other apps means you're never really sure if your ROI is accurate or if a credit was really used. Log benefits manually when you redeem them, or optionally enable Auto-Log for supported recurring benefits in Settings. Auto-Log uses your confirmed setup, not bank activity, so you should review those records for accuracy.
